Don't feel to bad I had to take my SC off 3 times in the last 3 days because I did something wrong installing a simple belt. Last time I think I yelled so loud the whole neighborhood heard and set off some car alarms. Oh! keep it up and misery does like company.

Mark: It's been confirmed that you're a documented masochist. I'm beginning to feel badly about selling it to you.....How's your Valium intake? Or is it a good Merlot? Lots of Merlot.....
BTW...Merry Xmas....are you going to have it under the tree all put together by Xmas Eve?

Doug, thanks.
Gregory, that is a very good comparison. I miss the days of carbs and distributors. I should be doing this to a rare muscle car instead.
Barn, I think I'm there right now. I told my wife a couple days ago that I wouldn't be doing any more project cars for a while (or ever) after this one. I'm in the middle of the most difficult part of the rebuild right now. I'm facing a couple issues that are definately challenging. I'm currently Porscheless, so I have some pretty good motivation.
Tim, Thanks. I already tried to gas myself when I unintentionally broke the seal on the AC system with my face right next to it.
Joe, thanks.
Mother, thanks for the inspiration. Mine seems easy compared to what you are doing. My kids have learned a few new words while I'm working on the car. Good luck with yours.
Chuck, my next car is going to be something with a warranty. In the next two days, I have to go over to your neck of the woods. How does lunch sound?

Tim, good idea...I'll give it a try.
Carpundit, thanks...this project gives me nightmares.
Stefan, if this was rocket science, I sure wouldn't be doing it... Nothing a little duct tape and super glue won't fix.

Mark: I tried calling your house several times....your damn robot keeps answering....YES on lunch...give my cell a call and as Tim so blatantly stated....I guess I'd better buy you lunch for selling you that wiring nightmare. This is obviously not going to be one of those projects like the potato chip add....Bechha' can't do jes one!!
Get ahold of me tomorrow.....lunch on the horizon fer shure.

I took a much need break from the project over the holidays. I'm back on it with renewed enthusiasm. Santa (aka: wifey) brought some mods for the interior that I'm anxious to install. This part of the rebuild is actually enjoyable. I'm glad I took lots of pictures of the donor car.
I'm almost done with the passenger side of the dash. The driver's side will be a little more challenging. The first order of business on the driver's side will be to remove & replace the steering column. The old column wasn't damaged by the fire. It was discolored by the dry chemical from the fire extinguisher.

This is my favorite thread of all time. I get to see all the pics, but don't have to do any of the work.
I love that Momo wheel - great feel on the hands. I had one on my 89 Turbo. God I miss that car.
Keep up the good work
