Many years later, 65K miles on it, several track events, and not a single problem over all those years I'd say she not only has the car SHE wanted (which everybody seems to miss the point here) but a damn reliable one at that.

See you at the next track event! Maybe by then she will have forgot and won't have to kick you tail in on the circuit Just don't remind her about the kink at CMP

Thats exactly my point D. If I spent 100k on a car, I wouldn't want a 60k car (Boxster)with the same front end on it. I'd like to feel like I got something other than.....
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with either car......just don't care for the similarities in the two.....thats all. I'm sure K's cab is beautiful
Oh and that butt kickin' thing........................my brotha please Love ya, mean it!

I suppose I can understand and appreciate that.

It may have something to do with my philosophy of life. Some people think they are lucky for what they have, while others believe they have earned it. I think I have been very lucky in that I have been blessed to be born of good parents in a great country at a great time in history, and further that I have had opportunities to be very well educated and to have been successful in my career. Although I have worked hard, and I still do, I still have been lucky.
Could not agree more (lucky and blessed)

So, when I drive my Porsches, I would just as soon be invisible, unless I am trying to pass you on the track and then I just want you to get the $%^& out of my way!
Lost me on that one. I want everyone to know that I, without a college degree, made it! (with the help of a smart, well educated and willing wife of course). Oh and if you can pass me......you'll have to earn it

I'm ok with that. If we are in a race, just don't block me. If we are at a DE and I am at your bumper through the corners, just make sure to lift!!!

Your right about the 993 being slow as far as sports cars are concerned. At least the non-turbo's. But its still a great toy regardless and some view them as collectibles. I view them as cars and have no connection to them.

I have driven much faster women in my life than my 993!

But I isnt slow or been clasified as we todd did the last time I asked.

Funny how this "slow" 993 has yet to earn anything less than a 2nd place trophy, and when it stoops so low, its a Cayman S that beats it, never a class sharing 996.

AAHH the sweet taste of victory

Well the 993 is only slightly slower because of all our heavy gauge body panels weighting us down. As apposed to those Hyundai thin body panels on the 996......guess thats what happened with left over Boxster bodies back in the late 90's

That's pretty funny. When I raced my 996 (2004-2006) the only 993 competition came from RSCSs and an occasional TT. Even then, I beat them a lot more than they beat me. Please don't even pretend a 993 isn't the slowest Porsche track car of all time.

You forgot to mention that leather is heavier than rubbermaid plastic.

But they do lose weight after the rear window explodes or the front and rear window channel rust out.
