Damn, this just gets better ever day. He chose to make a laughing stock out of the honest members of this board to steal hard earned money and now he is about to becomne the laughing stock of a fine jail population that will revel in the fact that they have a new BITCH to have their way with. He deserves EVERYRTHING he gets thrown at him. F'in scumbag.

It is great news that the PD was able to get involved. The federal authorities usually don't take cases of this size. Especially since 9/11, a lot of the feds are diverted to anti-terror work, so there are fewer investigators. The same goes for federal prosecutors, so there are fewer cases accepted for prosecution.

The result is that criminals have to steal large amounts to draw the feds' attention. Maybe this Joe character is over that threshold, but maybe not. The local police can move on these scammers faster and at lower thresholds than the feds can. It sounds like good work by the Rennlisters to get the police involved, and good work by the police to move the case to the arrest stage.
