Default Wow 5w-40

‘04 c4s 111k miles

wow so I changed the previous oil (Mobil 0w-40) to moly 5w-40 (green bottle) and noticed a significant improvement in response with acceleration and engine sound. Much more revy and bigger growl. Am I imagining this? I don’t think I am. Anyways i didn’t drop the pan this time and noticed these bits on the filter. Tiny black bits that look like plastic. Worry? The top pic had some obvious debris from cutting the filter so I removed those from the bottom pic. I don’t want to do an oil analysis and go down a path of anxiety.

Bits of plastic are most likely from the chain pads and its normal to find them in the sump if the pan has not been pulled for a long time. If they r in the filter they have some how got past the screens? I thinl i would drop the pan to inspect.

Check your cam deviations with a Durametric. You may need new chain pads.

Ding! They're bits of sealant from when you put the sump cover back on.

OP - Fact is the fresh denser oil will more likely not improve anything but wear characteristics, particularly cold start protection. Oil drag from a less sheared and diluted oil fill will actually decrease hp by a small percentage.

I think these go on sale for Prime Day. Look for the Butt Dyno+Snake Oil bundle.

Where is the blinker fluid reservoir? Do I need to perform complete flush or just top it off? Blue, green, blue, purple fluid or neon fluid?
