408s are expensive for a reason.
They were (still are) the best 18” OEM wheels you could get on a 996.
And looks are subjective……but they’re also the best looking

Seriously, I think it’s the 993 owners who are paying a premium for the hollow spoke twists.
They want a set if their 100K+ 993 is missing the 408s that’s listed on the build sticker.

Those aren't bad. My problem is that when I see them I think, "who put STi wheels on a Porsche?" because I owned an STi in the past.
They are made by BBS. I have those wheels on my 996. And yes, they are a bit of a pain to clean. Attachment 1336385
I also had the gold BBS STi wheels on my former aspen white WRX wagon until some 17 year old that was texting rear ended me on the freeway when traffic came to a stop and totaled my WRX. I still miss the WRX wagon. Attachment 1336386
