Here are some thoughts.
1. We need to do the dragon as early as we can on Friday due to massive weekend traffic on the weekends. It's much safer to do on weekdays.
2. PLEASE make sure you car is ready. A good check of brakes, suspension bolts, all maintenance, tires, etc... is a safe place to start. Things will happen but being proactive on a 20 year old car is best.
3. Think about how you want to drive on this trip.. What I mean is some will be very aggressive and some just want to enjoy the drive.. We should divide into smaller groups to make it a better experience for all.
4. Communication is sketch at best in the this area. Handheld radios would be best to have for communication as cell coverage is limited. Plus being able to quickly communicate with your group is valuable.
5. Small repair kit for your specific car is also valuable.. I will have one but it will be specific to my car and it's need.
More to come but this will get you thinking and planning

I'm really gonna try to make this even if I have to fly down and ride shotgun with someone.

Traffic was always minimal. We had plenty of road to run the cars hard and when we did run up on someone they usually pulled over and let us pass.

Just a heads up, that map in post 70 is pretty weird and horribly not to scale and kind of inaccurate. Do you have a google map of the route you plan for the group yet?

We (another group and I) usually start on friday around 11 or 12 here and head south.

This is going to sound ridiculous and it'll make sense when we meet up but I can't access Google maps because I'm on a ship at the moment. We'll properly map it out as soon as I'm off the ship.

Here is a video of a few bikes blasting through the Dragon, typical day there includes several bike crashes and a couple cars off in the ditch/bank.. Very dangerous if you cross the yellow line, and even dangerous if you don't...lol But if you have never been on the Dragon this is what you will see... Other roads around are just as fun with less traffic but takes a few days to run them all... We usually allow 3 days per trip.....

Attached are the written directions for the 123mi loop which according to that link, takes about 4hrs. Once able, I'll map it out via Apple Maps and compare it to Google maps... I'm a weirdo like that. @Justin76 brings up some excellent points about prep. I believe I have a couple radios that I could spare in the event some of you don't want to get them (completely understandable).
