Default Bore scoring symptoms

I have read through all the posts on this subject but no info on my symptoms. I have a 02 C2 and at start up I hear nothing for the first
minute or two, after that a loud ticking can be heard at idle, at 1400 rpm ticking is gone I haven't seen any info on "after" startup only noise
"at " startup and no info on the rpm ranges it can be heard either any thoughts?

Any doubts,, time for a full top and bottom bore scope. Just get it over with..
Nothing on these motors gets better it seems, once it starts making noise..

I suggest you put your phone on the ground under the engine banks and record the ticking sound and post it.

I used my stethoscope on all cylinders and 1,2,3 had ticking noise at 2000 rpm no noise at all if it were bore scouring wouldn't the noise
be there throughout rev range? Again there is no noise at cold startup.

No. Based on the stage of scoring, the noise can vary in rhythm and tone. If in doubt, scope it out- period.

Alright I'm going to borescope it! I'm afraid of it though cause Oct. 3rd I finally get my first track day that I've been dreaming
about since I was a little kid and the results could make or break this life long dream of mine along with my bank account if I need a new engine!
Well that's my sob story, I'll get back to you all with the results.

I finally had it checked out and I have a bad cat so I ordered new cats not cheap but better than a new engine!

Bad cats are the worst, I once had a cat that was so bad even the dog was afraid of him!
