Ok, first track weekend at Grattan (Belding, MI) in the books. Big thanks to Jason (zbomb) for the real time advice on several items. Key points:
*2021 Changes to the C2: Motorsports LSD, NT01 tires on Apex wheels, Stiffer Springs on Ohlins
*Personal best time, but lost probably a second on the last dip/bump near the end
*Anyone who has experience at this track and can give pointers on going faster...Please do!

Man - so awesome, great lap. Loved the excitement at the end.

No shaking the rust off for you, both the driving and the car looked mid-season form.

Haha, that is why I edit it down to the one lap, so you don’t have to see the rusty parts! It is hard not to watch the vbox timer when it is showing you are on a heater. Thanks again for all the help 🙏.

Man that place looks fun. Not that far from me either. I need to make the trip up there soon.

Drove the 350z this weekend 500 miles to a hillclimb in south eastern Kentucky. I was about the only person not on Hoosier A7, which now I fully understand is fully necessary going up such a steep incline lol.
ended up 1st in class and 23rd overall out of almost 100.

Here a crappy run from Sunday. The car is mainly an endurance built track car lol. Hell of a time tho.

Great video, brought back found memories of running hillclimbs back in the 1970’s. I used to drive various British sports cars in Pennsylvania with PHA club. It was a lot of fun.

There were quite a few neat classics running. Majority of the people competing are regular hillclimb folks. Im jealous of the people that dont have to travel so far haha.

Here is my 2004 911 Cab I converted to a track car this winter and a video from Barber in it. Still have some more work to do. Its not finished but it has made it a long way.

Default Shotgun Ride, GT3 RS

Rode shotgun with my brother in his 991.1 GT3 RS at Thermal Club in Indian Wells, CA in early 2018. Sorry for the out the window view, but it was the only place I could keep the phone steady. Still get the great speed sensation. Great scenery too. I worried about dropping the phone out the window. Riding shotgun is a pretty violent experience. Since you are not driving, you are always tensed and braced off because you don’t know exactly when the next maneuver is going to start. My neck was a little sore after that day.

He traded this on a 991.2 GT3 RS, his current track weapon.

David and I before launch.
