Hi, my name is Joel and I have an addiction to buying **** I don’t need.
I’m getting 4 faces, 4 lips and 4 barrels for a good price BUT the only catch is one of faces has a crack in it. Even after ordering a replacement face and assembly… I undercut a new set by $2000. I’m up to 6 wheels now and two sets are project wheels.
If only you lived in a 4 season town. You could run one set with Hoosiers, another with Hoosier wets, one with winter treads, one with summer treads and the last with 4 season tires.

You would be covered.
Ha! I’ll gladly stick to my one season Florida weather and go Summer tires all year.
FVD and a couple guys have told me it’ll take a year to get the face I need which is good because if not… I’d rebuild them asap. If anyone has a face with a PN 0288108… let me know.
So I ended up ordering the face from Rhonda @ FVD and it’ll be here in 12-16months. I won’t be able to get them done until then so the TEs will be on for some time.
I have good news for us Chonky Bois who like race car things in carbon fiber… on April 1st there will be a XL carbon seat option on Sparco’s site. These are pics of the seat, yes the one in the pic is a L but the one I’m getting is an XL.
I prefer a more subdued look for the seats but the Performance covering isn’t available on the carbon XL seat but is an option on the non carbon XL. The end goal is this but with red stitching.
Classic 9 will be doing the seat cover work since they did an exceptional job on the Cup steering wheel. I’m only doing one seat to ensure I’m 100% sure I want to invest that much into a seat. Think the only thing I’m on the fence on is whether to have the an embossed Porsche crest in the headrest or leave the “Sparco” script in black or carbon. I’m open to suggestions.

I had sparco Grid IIs in my corvette, have you ordered yet? not sure what pricing is like but I ordered from Murray Motorsports in ireland and it was dirt cheap (I think less than 800$ shipped for the pair)
I don't remember if I told you or not yet, but figured I'd throw them out there since I had a great experience.

Gratuitous self promotion:
Bro I love that Vette. These are full carbon and a friend who has a wholesale account is checking to see if they can be purchased through his business. Unfortunately I don’t know anything other than what I was told by the Sparco Rep.
your build has been so good dude, excited to see the seats in it next with that cup wheel (which I'm still jealous of)
Man I appreciate it. Jason sent me an IG post from BBS Motorsports’ page with a pic of a bunch E88 faces. I doubt my order will be fulfilled this year but at least there are pics to suggest they’re getting parts pumped out.
Aside from the seat and the suspension refresh, my plans for the car will be very light. The VW needs some love and parts are equally expensive since the Touareg is a Cayenne without the Stuttgart Crest. Last item I need for the suspension is rear LCAs which I’ll be getting from Vertex in Miami which come with replaceable ball joints.
Chunk it looks like I’ll have my E88 on before nanana 😂
I just bought these This my end look for my car
Bro I’m so happy for you!!! Yaz sent me the link when they were still for sale and it took everything in me not to buy them and keep the other set as a spare. Your car is already exceptional and adding E88s will make it that much nicer.
