Looks like the last one is Amazon green metallic based on some IG/Rennbow detective work. Not sure about the one in the 2nd pic. Could be Prussian blue metallic which I'm seriously considering for my repaint.

I sent a message to a buddy, hopefully he gets back to me.
So I’d like to thank Classic 9 for their work. I was on the fence whether I’d like the natural suede option and it feels amazing, very very sticky too.
While that was getting done, I polished the hood on the VW. The hood touched the inside of the garage door and scratched it, so much so that a wet sand was necessary. Haven’t used an orbital buffer in close to 10yrs and it requires some finesse. It’s pretty damn easy to burn the paint right off but god knows how many hours I have behind one so the technique came back quickly.
Started with Iron Remover, makes the clay bar work easier and less abrasive so in turn requires less of a cut when polishing. Purple streaks is iron oxidizing with the iron remover, don’t let this dry on paint.. you’ll damage the paint permanently.
Here’s after two step polish(DA), the initial compound(Orbital) and clay bar. About 40mins of work.
and a face shot.

Dang dude. I still use a squirt bottle of wax and a couple of old t-shirts. Maybe I need to up my game.
Detailing technology has changed so quickly the last 10yrs. It’s easier and you’re able to achieve incredible results with very little effort. Think you’d be surprised how well you’d do.
Finally made it out of the country for work and let me tell you… in over 20yrs of flying as an adult, I’ve never been turned away from the ticketing counter and it happened yesterday due an “issue” with a Visa. Because I missed that first flight , I was able to celebrate my girl’s son’s bday. He was elated! Second attempt of flying out was better, 11hrs to Turkey and 4hrs to Bahrain.
I did get some time driving with the new steering wheel, the suede damn near sucks the moisture out of your hands but absolutely love it. There were a couple people on IG that asked about hand placement and how that particular wheel changed my driving position. So far I haven’t adjusted my seating position and have adjusted how close(or far) the wheel is to me. Out of all the crap I’ve done to the car, the ducktail and now the steering wheel are my favorites.
The girls are put away. Started using Apple’s Freeform app to get my scatterbrained self focused on upgrading both the VW and 996. The focus of this year will be changing every suspension component on the Porsche and maybe getting the RaceTechs(or just one to see if I really want a bucket). The other thing is getting rid of the sunroof and doing a carbon skin conversion. @yaz996 hooked me up with a parts list so I’ll probably start amassing parts.
Put the Porsche on a Battery Tender for the first time since it has a new battery and somehow there’s draw somewhere so that should make it easy. I’ve never had an issue with the VW surprisingly enough but I did add Seafoam to the diesel. Should be out of the country for close to 5 months and I have a friend who will drive the Porsche more than it has been in the past.

Goose-Gear Trunk Flooring
Once I get back from this deployment I’ll be heading to the Mojave Trail in August with a couple friends. My VW will be the recovery vehicle for the voyage.

Ok first, it awesome looking and make me miss my truck.. Second is now I have to get back in to overlanding.. let the search begin for a Cayenne Diesel!
So the airbag light is on because the little contraption sent with the hub kit looked sus. While on my search for a better quality component, I stumbled on some old pics of my car via a google search. What plug n play kits have you all used?
Brought back some memories and now I want a Works Bell or Race-tech QD set. I had a security cover in my Z when using the WB. Before someone suggests the NRG short hub and QD, I’m going with previous experience and prefer the OG.
Send me your address in a PM and I'll send you the right resistor. I just got rid of my air bag light after installing my Momo Mod07. Some of those kits include a very small fuse which doesn't actually fix the issue. You need an actual resistor to be installed in-line of the orange plug that would connect to the OEM airbag plug.

Yes exactly and bro it looked like dog crap. PM on the way.
Managed to find a 997 GT3 sunroof less headliner on eBay UK and snatched it up. The sunroof delete is way off as far as projects are concerned but it’s nice finding clean parts on the cheap.
Most of this thread is a culmination of me thinking out loud. I’ve gone back and forth with the seat choice, after chatting with Brandon at Sparco… I’m going with a variation of the XL seat. The one that caught my eye is the QRT Performance.
Sparco offers custom covers at a premium but at least the option is available for regular Evo QRT XLs. I don’t particularly like tons of branding on things so the subdued appearance is right up my alley for sure.
Next is more RPM Technik goodies. I’ve been trying to locate a carbon hood and bumper. Simon from RPM might still have a hood that’s prepped for paint but I wanted to keep it in raw carbon.
Lastly are the brakes. I still have the 997 GT3 Cup brakes with the bolts for the brackets and I will need to rebuild/replace my calipers at some point. @GTSchport sent me info on a company who mods 18Z Brembos and 997 Turbo calipers to fit our 996 hubs. I might sell the 380mm bracket/calipers and get this kit.
I’d rather upgrade at this point but keep a 350mm set up simply because I have multiple sets of wheels that probably won’t fit over the 380mm monsters.
