Today is a good day. Unfortunately I’ll have to wait for tires because the ones I ordered were for a regular C2... could’ve sworn I had a GT3 selected from the drop down on Tire Rack. I collected wheels for a time during a previous vehicle ownership and I guess you can say I’m a wheel snob. My old TE37’s were absurdly light... these OZ’s are lighter than those were but to be fair the TE37’s were 19x9.5 +12 and 19x10.5 +12. The fit and finish in the OZs are way beyond my expectations to include the Carbon center caps which fit well. Should probably tally the weight savings from the GT3s vs the OZs.
The GT3 Cup lip needed some work as well, had some stains on it that had to be sanded off. The first attempted was mediocre at best so I’ll strip, sand and paint again while paying attention to sanding marks that weren’t sanded smooth. The end goal is to get a DP-Motorosport carbon fiber Cup lip but the OEM cup lip pictured is still in great condition and will look great for the time being.
All in all I’m pretty happy that I have something to tinker on. While the car is in the shop, the garage should be finished with some Porsche decor and some much needed upgrades. Going to plumb in an air hose reel to match the extension cord reel. Ordered a Quick Jack today so it’ll be nice to have to have everything set up.

Looks like they have none in stock so it’ll take 6 weeks... now we wait. On a lighter note, I get the car back on Thursday and ordered the IDP intake plenum kit from Suncoast.

Still waiting for the car and running out of things to do. Applied a ceramic coating to the OZs. When you detail a car, you tend to start noticing imperfections... even on new vehicles. On the other hand you appreciate the fit and finish of things. The chemical guys coating is pretty easy to apply and there is a considerable added shine. They have a very fine metallic flake and it pops a little more after the coating. One cool thing about Oz is they include a tag that has the wheels weight on it... presentation is everything.

Well done! I recently applied 2 coats of Avalon King ceramic coating on my anthracite Apex wheels and they looked great. Hoping to be able to take off most of the brake dust with just the pressure washer.
Did you also apply the coating to the inner barrels? I did mine after mounting tires. I've heard that wheel weights sometimes don't stay on on a coated surface. Something to keep in mind.
