I actually think the 997.2 4s without the heckblende looks better than with it. On the 996 it’s a damn near perfect look.

Plus it has Jake's 4.0 Stage II under the ducktail and a super loud valved exhaust. It is a BEAST.

It won't be a Jake's 4.0 but I'm putting the parts together for a 4.0 myself... I'm part of the ducktail gang too.

Doesn’t look to shabby from the sides either. My 996 4s is more enjoyable on backroads, but this beast is obnoxiously loud and has seemingly never ending torque. I love both of my “kids” equally though.

Yeah I’d say it looks good for all angles! You in north jersey? First pick looks like a place in Bridgewater area.

Cool. I’m not far from you, I’m about 10 min from Six Flags. We do most of our shopping at the Hamilton Marketplace. I’m sure you’re aware, but Cream Ridge, Millstone, Allentown offer some great country road driving which I certainly take advantage of.

there is a reason porsche picked the ducktail for the classic coupe. I prefer the ducktail, it sets the car apart specially when parked next to others without the ducktail.

Your 997.2 does look awesome from the back. One of the all time best 911 back ends.

Love the 997. Just needs a targa top to be perfect.

Man I agree. For as much as I love the Taco and .2 wings, I will say that more people notice the ducktail... especially car people. At first I'd get "thumbs up" from Euro car owners with the GT3 wing but now I'll pass them, then they'll speed up to see it. Surprisingly the other thing people notice, especially when sitting next to stock GT3s, is the Cup lip.

I get many comments from strangers on my 996, but my 997 seems to get everyone's attention. I need to get a GoPro and record some video and audio. I agree, the Getty Ducktail is much more subtle than a wing/taco, I really see them reserved for GT2/GT3 models but everyone's taste in cars is different, otherwise life would be boring.

996 sale prices of non-mezger engine cars the last few days have been pretty solid on BAT. Even with a bear market and slowing economy, folks still want M96 powered 996s.

Maybe we are seeing the same behavior as we hsve historically seen with real estate prices during a recession and then recovery. Demand for higher priced homes diminish and don't sell but lower priced high quality homes still turn over and are the first to recover.

Who knows...
