Although it was located really close by, I decided not to look at this back in early August because I thought it was way overpriced.
I might have been wrong haha

It definitely has some nice options, but that price is a far reach lol.

For the saavy RL buyer, yes, but I think he knows the market and doesn't seem to keep things inventory too long. His cars are generally unique or super low mileage models but it's great for the platform to see the values increasing.

Also, see this Speed example on BAT. It's fairly plain spec aside from the color and it's already at 31k. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...11-carrera-53/

What am I missing about this car? Is it just the Speed Yellow color?

BTW, the cold start in that video is not a cold start (if the oil level gauge wants to wait 55 mins for a reading).

I was wondering the same thing - current owner has had the car less than 2 years/3k miles... ??? I like how he keeps saying "reportedly" when referring to service... I don't get it, but it certainly seems the prices are rising...

Some of the SY on BAT have gone for a pretty aggressive price, particularly the .2s:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...11-carrera-39/

The guy that bought it has it listed on Autotrade, a little bit of buyer's remorse. I think he's asking $36K.

The two recent .1 SY went for much less, $20k and $24K.

Aerokit prices seem to have been hovering in the low 30s, like this .1:

Yeah, it seems like a lot of the sellers there are "flippers"...

Another data point...the trend continues! Over $37k, inc BaT fee, for a non 4s.

Not to be a Debbie downer, but prices for many things are on the rise. Money has been cheap for a long time. Look at home prices, stock prices, oil, building materials, used car prices, etc.

I got a raise recently, so I guess that makes it even?

If it’s any consolation, my condo in the city has been unrented since November. Covid, it seems, is hard to get away from directly and indirectly.

I guess we forgot to tell you about the new owner tax... It appears in many forms. The form yours has taken is actually complimentary as you will have less worries... Maybe a gray hair reducing tax?

I might have a better sense of humor about it if I wasn’t also handed a $9600 repair bill!
