I’m 6’ and I have no issue fitting inside my 77S. You might find the steering wheel too far away but an aftermarket wheel and hub can bring it comfortably closer. These cars are surprisingly roomy- my 6’7” brother in law easily and comfortably fits in the passenger seat.
I'm 6'6", 36" inseam.
However, for the 996, I fit fine, and I think you'll have no problem. You'll have 4" to spare! Getting the seat into the one position where my head wasn't too close to the roof was a bit tricky. Seat position actually isn't all the way back. Too far back and the roof slopes down, so you lose headroom. But overall, I found a good position, and don't really notice any issues. I'm not sure I will ever be able to qualify for a track day wearing a helmet, as I"m probably too close to the roof, but I haven't tried.
You might have to do the GT3 console delete. Without that, my right knee was in the steering wheel, and my right hand ran into my knee whenever turning right. It was a pain. But with the lower console removed, there is a ton more room for my right leg, and I haven't given it another though.
As the others have said, you should have no problem. I’m over 6’and fit fine. Thought I remembered reading a while back that one of the top execs at Porsche was 6’6” and was adamant that he and his likewise situated well above average height brethren be able to fit in any car that they made. Urban legend, maybe, but my Porsche’s are the only manual transmission cars that I’ve ever driven that I can’t get the clutch pedal fully depressed if the seat is all the way back.
Depends on your proportions. I’m 6’-4” with long torso. I can get in, but ‘fit’ in is subjective. I have ultimately mounted my seats To the floor in both an ‘85 911 and now my 996 Targa. without doing so a helmet was a no go and view through windshield was compromised. The targa bought me more headroom than a sunroof coupe with standard seats/mounting. I also removed windshield mounted rear view mirror as it obscured views on right hand corners.
you can see here that I gained about 2” with driver side floor mount compared to passenger slider mount. You could also take some foam/cushion out of standard seat bottoms too.

I am just over 6'2" with long legs and have no problem fitting in my 996. Now getting out of the car is a little harder than getting in, but I have no head clearance issues and legroom is good. I can't say the same for Caymans, C-4 Vettes, 2000s Mustangs, 90s - early 2000s Camaros, Miatas.
