Very carefully! A cherry picked would have been nice to have, but (with not having one) I'm not sure about attachment points. I had it really well balanced on the jack with a cross beam attached with a buddy helping out and extra stands around for additional support. Also put a 2x4 across a couple stands under the front of the engine just in case. Once the engine stand was out of the way I moved the jack stands under the engine mounting points and added the wood blocks under the rear of the engine.

I guessing the best way with a cherry picker would be to yoke it with a soft strap.
Keep it up guys. Maybe all 3 of us will have a running motor by the end of the weekend.

Anyone want 10 gallons of 1yr+ old 93 octane?
Not quite done, but a solid Saturday all around. Started with draining the fuel tank and replacing the fuel filter. Ended up with the entire drive train (except for the airbox) in and torqued down (including all hoses and electrical connections). Some remaining work to do on the underside, mufflers, and bumper.

Soooo close. Late start Sunday because my pup Ziggy needed a decent hike...and swim...and shower.
Got the car all back together (except for the airbox) and back on the ground, then started on the fluids. Should have added the distilled water while the car was still in the air. Had one leak that was fixed by tightening a hose clamp. Might have another leak at the rear bottom of the engine. Or it could (hopefully) just be water that was running from the first leak along the underside coolant pipe. I'll have a better idea this afternoon.
Going to need all weather mats before his next ride.
Back on the ground...for now.

Another good day...the potential coolant hose leak appears to be a non-issue for now. Got back under the car this afternoon for a closer look, and nothing worrisome.
Then it was time to get the airbox installed. Picked up a 3.8L off eBay for about $200. Figured it would be worth it for the cosmetics alone. I've closely followed all the threads about what fits... 3.8 snorkel requires SAI relocation... 3.4 snorkel fits the 3.8 box and doesn't require relocation. Was leaning toward using my old snorkel until I saw the cross section off the inlets. 3.4 inlet is roughly 3-3/8" x 2-1/2" (~7.9 sq in) versus the 3.8 inlet being roughly 4-1/2" x 3" (~13.5 sq in). That's about a 70% difference in area. So I'm going with the 3.8 snorkel. Removed one bolt on the SAI for now, and might get the EVOMS relocation bracket if I notice any vibration.
There's your 70% difference on the inlet
Done. The plan is to fire her up tomorrow afternoon.
