Just curious how fast you’ve gone in your 996? For me it’s 122 (03 c4s). Still prefer the twisty backroads though.

kph of course. Anything faster wouldn’t be safe with the crappy brakes on these 996. Sorry for the confusion. 🤥

Almost 135mph indicated on the back straight at Road America. I’d love to drive to 174, published top speed for a 996 C2 cab, but wouldn’t be able to find a place to do that.

116 (by accident) on a recent trip to the coast. I was crushing at about 90 and stopped paying attention to the speedo for a bit. If you let the car do what it likes on flat tarmac, 100+ is a 996 “comfort zone”.

I hit 155 (indicated) on an Interstate in, uh, Mexico before getting a bit nervous and backing off. My stock C4 felt pretty good at that speed.
