I love the car, super practical. Crazy rare with the manual. Low maintenance in that configuration. If I keep it someday I wanna do the 3 stage intake swap and make it a 330
have wanted one to take the place of my 03 a6 Avant. Mostly cause I want a manual wagon again as a daily.

^^ the e91 won't let you down

Here's me: finally got my 996 gauge cluster wired up and bolted in. Everything appears to work, even had the mileage moved over. I'll probably need a local shop with PIWIS to code out whatever errors the confused cluster has. Maybe I can clear it with Durametric. We'll see! For now, I'm just glad to see my 986 showing signs of life. Gotta do the under drive pulley, button up the interior, and get back on the road!

Just for the record thats not 100% true. The calipers r the same-ish but the pistons r smaller.

Is there any chance someone has a link handy for the Onboard Computer user guide/manual? I'm setting up my control switches, but don't know how the menus work and I'd like the button layout to reflect how it works!

NVM: When someone invents time travel I intend to speak to some porsche nerds/engineers...

Yea the pads r the same. The rear calipers share the part number with the gt3 and turbo rears. They have the same important dimentions as the front c2 calipers but they have an extra mounting boss that is tapped to accept a bolt to secure the short hard line. The front c2 caliper hard line bolts 2 the upright.

gt3 rear pistons r 28 and 30mm.
c2 front pistons r 36 and 40mm.

I use the c2 fronts in the rear because the 6-gt3 pistons r large and i needed more rear bias. They reduced the piston size in the 7-gt3 to help equalize the car. My car now has the same percentage of bias as the 7-gt3 but larger pistons so the brakes have a very good responce.

Thats the end of rhe non solocited brake info for today.

Default Front suspension refresh.

New front B4 Shocks, mounts, control arms, inner/outer tie-rods and drop links. Only hiccup was the dust boots supplied by FCP Euro were the wrong size. I have the earlier smaller steering rack that needed smaller boots. Anyone need a set of dust boots can have mine for price of shipping. Got the car aligned and boy what a difference. Now wishing I did the rear at the same time. But I knew I only had enough time to do half the car, so I went with the front since it was staring to get noticeably bad.

…install of the OEM SUB TRAY it’s called. Really always like the interior with full leather in this “peanut butter”…natural brown. Waiting on nameplate “Bose” surrounds brackets. The subs are not Bose …farthest thing from it so will come up with @ logo switch later…more to come…word of note. Bose system OEM set up to see 2ohms in parallel…most OEM use this set up to get most out of cheap speakers. Be cognizant of your coils being dual or single …I set up at 1ohm and it kept cutting out the amp. Went to 4ohms…problem solved.

What spectators see…the way Ferry wanted👏🏾

“There is no substitute…”. Wow…I always wanted to say that

Love the feet kicked up in the 2nd photo...what tire sizes are you running front and rear? The sidewall thickness looks *chef's kiss*

Same question for you...what's your tire and wheel specs? I have a set of 18x12 Fikse FM10s going into the rear of my C2 and still comparing specs. Thanks!

Did your car come with the sub tray or did you purchase separately? I think I like this setup more than mine, even though I poured dozens of hours into my box and mounts.
edit: saw your post here - great design! maybe I'll redo mine at some point.

I installed a 2 quart oil sump extension . I bought this from Jake Raby , he had done some internal mods/upgrades to the baffles/doors . Anyway all went as expected following the LN instructions . I will wait 2 days before adding oil to let sealant setup . Hopefully no leaks 😋 . Next I will purchase the LN skid plate and install .

While I don't race I am a firm believer in oil volume . I want my 3.8 to live as long as possible . I have the same setup on my 3.6 Boxster since 2015 . I will be able to run 11 quarts thanks to the UAOS .

It's nice to know you have an extra 2 quarts when the oil level starts flashing.
Meh, I'll add half a quart soon when the weather is nice.

Caught my 996 mileage today

And ready for an oil change with new SS LN magnetic sump plug and copper washer. I'm excited!
