What did you do to your 996 today?

RE: Numeric… Oh no, I’ve had mine for few years (3 or 4…) and I installed it w/cables myself. The most difficult part of the install is the rubber bung where the cables pass through the floor. Your description is spot on - night and day difference from stock shifter (or any of the incremental changes I went through before biting the bullet and getting the numeric shifter).

@yaz996 From GAHH? Link?
Minimum order was 25 sq ft (they'll do a smaller quantity but it gets more expensive quick because it's then priced by the sq in). I do have leftovers I'd be willing to sell.

New headlight switch, finished up the new short shifter.
Much better shift feeling.
I used the Mercedes Benz headlight switch. no difference that I could detect from the OEM one.
$29 from FCP Euro. I figure if it only lasts half as long as the OEM I am still ahead.

If u r lowered they they may not be able to get the castor in range without adjustable pucks. Again the same.might be true for the camber but it lools like that could be adjusted out. A little extra camber is not really an issue im at -3.2 but thats a track alignment.
Alighnment guys lile to say the "cross" measurent is good so u r fine. I think thats just being lazy.

We’ll, the question becomes; What’s a lot? It’s clearly subjective. I can say that it’s not nearly as much as the black function first bushing inserts (I removed them and replaced with the yellow ones). The shifter itself probably transmits a little more than the stock shift housing (because being billet aluminum it’s much stiffer than the stock plastic), and the Numeric cables are quite a bit larger/stiffer than the stock cables. Overall not too much imo…
