Removed hardtop for summer and improved storage system, now just drive vehicle in garage, unlatch top, run straps under stop, and lift. One person can easily do entire process.
Last year had installed winch and pulley to lift top snugly up to rafters. This year got new straps and ran them front to rear instead of side to side, this keeps weight off painted surfaces, provides better balance, and allows removal and installation of top by one person. Also this year built wood cross beam to keep straps spread the correct distance from each other, and transfer the load to the winch hook.
I'm the most blessed man on the planet.
First drive of spring with top down.
The battleship is too big I can't fit it all in the picture.

Griot's synthetic clay bar for the DA was a lifesaver though. Worked really well and only took half an hour or so for the land yacht.

To answer you and cwbrown, I had it done at Fine Lines Wrap & Tint. Any wrap company should be able to do it in about 30 minutes. Cost was $50. I couldn't stand the blue/green tint imbedded in the top of the windshield.

This last weekend I hung something my wife ordered for my home office.
Cool wooden Porsche crest from Etsy to accompany my carbon fiber/wood Nürburgring track she also bought for me a few years ago.
It's huge!
28" (715mm) tall.

Thanks for the compliment, and it's the battleship Iowa in San Pedro CA. Looks like it is still closed to the public so we were able to pull up right next to it. When I was in the Navy the Iowa was in Norfolk Virginia, and I was assigned to go on it and pick up some radar equipment. It was a hell of a warship all kinds of guns and missiles and thick armor.

My next upgrade showed up today. They've been sitting in a buddy's garage half way across the country for the past few months.

I try to only apply patience under a select few circumstances.
Waiting on car parts 100% NOT one of them.
So I am in TOTAL approval of your impatience in this instance !
