Just got mine yesterday, they look great! Collector is a nice piece, and the TIG welds look pretty good. The ports are quite a bit larger than stock, should be interesting to see how well they match up to the head ports. Certainly smoother than stock both at the inlet to the tubing as well as the bends and welds. The stock have quite a bit of weld spatter and stringers left from production. Plus the formed sheet metal collector on the stock units leaves a little to be desired.
No idea how they'll work, flow is a funny thing. Sometimes more cross-sectional area is good, but fluid dynamics and acoustic tuning (pulsation scavenging) takes a bit of work to get right. Source: I work for a Coriolis mass flow meter company as a test engineer...gas flow lab.
Unfortunately I'll have to wait until my block gets back from LN and I get everything back together to try these out.

I just received this in my e-mail:
Better act quickly if you want a set of Agency Power headers.
It seems they won't be making them any longer.

Thanks for sharing, might grab a set even though I wasn't planning on doing it anytime soon. Also I'm unsure if it will cause issues with a CEL and I believe most people don't tune 99s. I also wonder if its just not a popular item or its increasing pressure for emissions standards. I know in the VW/AUDI world APR discontinued their downpipes and stage 2 software because of it.

They look decent enough, one of my biggest hang-ups with headers is all the bolts that are sure the break.

Maybe I should just wait until the engine blows then lol.

Might take you up on that. I took the car apart one time for the mufflers, plugs, and coil packs. Dunno how much harder it is to do the headers, usually, headers are a pain but on the 996 it seems relatively accessible but I am terrified of those bolts.

PB... Like a lot... start a routing of blasting them every night for a couple days before the surgery. Take a punch and give each bolt a sold couple whacks on the head while you're at it to hopefully get them agitated a bit.

Then pray as you crack them.

Thats my plan for when they have to come off.

Yeah they suck, like exhaust bolts everywhere. At least you can just glare up at them from underneath to try to intimidate them though. Good old ATF+acetone or something like that, a little heat, a little light tap-tap-tap with a hammer and chisel on the head, some gentle reversing torque by hand and all but two of mine broke free. I completely admit though that the pressure's off if everything else is already apart!

Well i snapped 8 of 12 on my car i tried a fair amount if heat, welding nuts to the stubs along with plenty of penetrating oil. The weird thing is i have had most of the bolts on my car apart and these were the only ones that have given me any trouble.

The jig and patients makes the repair fairly easy. I will add that even with the jig i had to helicoil 2 of the holes. So if u have to make the repair get a m8 kit jic

^^^^ Thanks De Jeeper. Good heads up info on the M8 kit. Only $25 and odds are good I’ll end up using them on two older P-cars.

I ordered a set of these headers and ohlins road and track from Vivid. Then they sent me some waivers to sign......then more emails saying they wont ship the headers to california. I replied ok send to Illinois to my Illinois house and they said we wont because your billing address is california. I called them and after waiting 15 minutes, a gal tells me oh so and so is handling this and he's on lunch. I'll have him call you. Of course he never does. Meanwhile the ohlins is a 6 to 8 week wait. So I'm not very impressed with Vivid Racing. In fact I'd say they are inept.

Update: They got it straightened out very well. I am very satisfied

I think its just the direction we are headed. I saw that Audi announced they are moving to all-electric so I think we are going to start to see this sort of stuff phase-out.
