Header pictures and borescopes
Here's pictures and borescope from $480 Agency Power headers:
Nice and smooth where it bolts to the cats:
Also nice and smooth at the cylinder head flange:
Borscope shows nice smooth welds, the bore scope travels all the way through with no issues:
Agency Power on bottom, eBay headers on top:
Here's Borescope & pictures of $100 eBay "Cheap chinese" headers.
The Rennlister, and friend, that I sold my never-installed eBay headers to brought them by so I could borescope them.
While it is smooth at the cylinderhead flange, there is a lip a couple of inches further inside due to ill fitting tubing.
It's
I think this can be removed with a die grinder.
Nice and smooth at the flange where the cats bolt up, but same pipe edge lip can be felt here about 2 inches inside. More die grinder work is needed.
The collector looks better than I remembered:
Borescope of eBay headers ran into a snag at the collector.
Note: The bore scope would not proceed through due to edges
After trying for a while, I pull out the borescope and run it from the other end.
While the eBay headers are a good deal for just $100, they will require a little bit of work to clean up the exhaust flow.
The Agency Headers are really good quality for the price.
If anyone has a new set of Hooker headers in the Houston area, I'd like to borrow them for just 5 minutes to borescope and photograph them.
