I was told that if you program out the immobilizer, you would negate the "roll over feature" which shuts fuel off in a rollover/accident. I don't know if that is true, but I kept the immobilizer when the computer was reprogrammed.

I had the oil, brake and transmission fluids changed today. Recharging the AC in a couple days. All belts look good. Only 5,000 miles on the clutch and plugs.

She vibrates at 50 mph and then significantly more when braking. I though it was a warped or rusted rotor. It turns out the bushings are dried out and cracked. That should be resolved later this week or next. Any suggestions on bushings?

I need to replace the tires. OEM Bridgestones are on the car, I've always been a Michelin guy, but Hanooks are very well priced. I need the bushings done first so that I can have the alignment done at te time of new tires. Any suggestions on tires?

I hand washed the car tonight and used Adam's Brillant Glaze. Wow it looks great and Brilliant Glaze is easy and deep. It's very temporary until I get a chance to clay bar and polish out the swirls and use GTechniq EXO. GTechniq EXO is terrific.

Walrod Bushings - if it the front A-arms. Do a search.

Best valued tires - Sumi's III's - seem to be better than the Hankooks, I like them.

Cheers,

Mike

Wow $526 for 4 tires, that is truely a pleasant surprise! I'll start reading on the bushings!

Hi Mike,

How do you feel about the ride and life of Walrod vs. Elephant Racing bushings?

Thanks!

Another option on bushings are the Tangent urethane bushings. Paragon products has them for about a 100 bucks.

No clue - my data is very one sided. I installed Walrod's in both of my 993's (one sold now) and almost 10 other cars now, the most recent last night, all the owners are very happy. It's solved a front end vibration issue on at least two cars.

I have never installed nor driven a car with Elephant bushings, so I cannot compare directly. All I can say is no issue and positive results for the Walrod's.

Cheers,

Mike
