Let us know what you think when you get them on the car!

Cheers,

Mike,

I'm sorting out a few things and loving it! I am amazed at the power of the turbos on the highway and how solid and smooth the power comes on!! Here is the status:

Friday: Took delivery of the car.

Saturday: Washed and took to daughter's friend's pool birthday party. One of the parents had just sold his 30,000 mile 996 TT S for $60,000.

Sunday: Went on a PCA run to Breckenridge, CO, noticed wobbling in front end.

Monday: Took to my Indy for all fresh fluids, a look over and because the front wobbling. (The Indy is a respectable and regarded Porsche only shop and has worked on the car for the past 12 years) I thought I had a warped rotor. Turned out to be front bushings.

Tuesday: Based on your recommendation (Thank you!), I ordered Walrod bushings from Darin at FD Motorsports. Darin was great, very patient with my myriad of questions. Also had the freon recharged.

Wednesday: Ordered a set of Sumitomo HTR Z III tires. Got a $75 ticket because I had only the old owner's plate on the back (front was in the Frunk).

Thursday: Arrived at emissions at 7:30 to be first in line for when they opened at 8:00. Passed, no issues. (Interestingly to my pleasure, they did not put it on the wheel rollers and did the test with the car in neutral!) Bushings should arrive today. Bushings are scheduled for install next Friday. Hopefully have the tires installed on Saturday.

I will likely polish the paint Saturday and order an "Extend My Seat" bracket to see if I can get some additional leg room.

I love how this car drives!!

Just for your info... if they had put your car on the rollers, they would have destroyed your viscous coupler. Even in those counties (in California) that require rollers, our cars are exempt. If they were to make that mistake, it would cost them several thousand bucks to replace the coupler. But be vigilant. And congrats on your fine car!
