I tried, but I really cannot get myself to enter another one of these debates (to the benefit of all most likely
, everything is in the archives..
I wish we could see 60-130mph datalogged data from these 2 engines mentioned here really...running them at their maximum potential to avoid any ifs and buts.. I am sure they are setup to run at 1.4 Bar at least, so that would put them at >800BHP, a good 5 second run![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
650bhp@0.8 Bar is about 20% better efficiency than my 3.8 engine, 997RSR engine levels if I am not mistaken..It's somewhere in the BMEP thread...Not very realistic numbers IMHO.

I love what you have done to your car. The paint is so cool and nothing beats the GT2 bodywork.
No doubt the chassis reacts like a precision instrument with all those great suspension upgrades. I had Motons on my M3 and I will likely end up with another set for my 993.
Your engine package should still give over 500hp????

My goal going forward is to keep temps down!! I like the power, I just don't like losing it once things get hot at the track

So what kind of cams & lifters did you put in your beast? Nevermind just notice your edit
Here is the kit from jerry - see page 36

Correct.
If I am ever bored I will connect an IAT sender to my AIM MXL dash unit to confirm the #s seen on the Autometer gauge...but I probably won't get around to it.
I am not going to loose any sleep over this IAT debate. My 993TT ownership enjoyment comes from driving the car and I trust the team that built it. Perhaps if I had spent over $XXXk to build my car I would be focused on proving every little detail...but that isn't my situation![bigbye](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/xyxwave.gif)
Once I have a datalogger in hand I will post some 60-130mph times.

If you do manage to get round to attaching your AIM dash (whatever that is

Spartan - you give any thought to coating your intercooler?

Get a quote from them and see what they say, might be something fun to try in the winter if its not too expensive. Probably only $200 or so.

Tuner1...I'm curious as there is no shroud to seal the i/c to the lid how well that works? Air, like water will take the path of least resistance which might be around the cooler...Does it ever get heat-soaked?

I am not aware of any shrouds on track cars or any larger than OEM IC's. I believe they are shrouded to fill the gap between the smaller stock IC and the wing, not because it is a better design....experts chime in.

I believe I'm now a member of the 500+ HP club
The car currently has an UMW 3.6L "built" motor with some of Kevin's latest turbos, cams, catless. I'm told it is good for 550HP. My UMW Stage 1 setup made roughly 470HP on race gas and this motor easily feels like it has another 80HP.
I recently had it at the track (Pacific Raceways, Thunderhill Raceway, and Oregon Raceway Park) and it accelerates like a bat out Hell!
I'm liking the 500HP Club

That sounds like a great package that should last for a long time. Do you have any details on the turbos? Are you running a second oil cooler for the track?
