Nurburger-- Fine photography; thanks for sharing. Always great to see shots of exotic 993 conversions, especially when they're owned by RLers. You asked about its authenticity: check out CP's "A Rare Porsche gathering: 2 Rufs, 993GT2, and a Cayman (Pics)" thread. Also featured in the April '09 issue of Excellence magazine. Porschemeister said there'd be a follow-up drive article. Hopefully he can update us here.
Only bittersweet reminder from your wonderful photos -- to me: seeing where I stood & called Jochen; we didn't connect. He had asked to see my 993.
Much better reminder of his other GT2 that was on display just a couple feet away, in PCNA's publicity hangar. As I understand, his white, 624-hp GT2 was finished just a couple weeks prior to Laguna:

Again, great pictures!
Regarding the US-DOT approved, street-legal black GT2's pedigree:
In many ways, it says worlds that PCNA sought this 993 out to associate themselves with publically & feature their products next to. See my following photos with their high-emphasis Panamera Turbo roll-out. It's no coincidence they have the large "Porsche" factory logos outside their garage/ hangar, behind the curves of his beautiful GT2. PCNA has product placement down to a calculated science.

Man....and maybe it's just me, but that Panamera looks rediculous next to Jochen's car. It shouldn't be in the same pic.....but maybe thats me....Porsches aren't meant to look like that

I had the pleasure of watching both cars being maticuliously built and restored at the Andial facility.
The race car was quite an undertaking in its restoration. Jochen should be given credit for preserving one of the best looking porsche race cars the companys built. Too bad the street GT2 couldn't make the Panameria look better.
