The boost looks a bit high, 1.36bar in 4th do you have head sealing rings ?
The IAT does not appear to be levelling out, my guess is if the boost stays that high then you are going to get too hot at Bruntingthorpe and not achieve a better speed than before ?

No sealing rings; I'll let Kevin chime in with his thoughts.
Hopefully I'll know before too long but I suspect you could well be right. Part of my future plans are to put a temp sensor in one of the boost hoses to see what the turbo output temp is and what the intercooler is being asked to cope with. The Bosch IAT sensor that Porsche uses (part number 0 280 130 085) is meant for turbocharged cars in that it responds to temp changes very quickly. If you're not using your Secan I'd like to give it a go some time. But as you imply the limiting factor is probably what the turbos are being asked to achieve.
I need to confirm that the DL1's calibration table for the IAT is correct. But that won't so much affect the shape of the curve as the actual values.

I hadn't seen many plots of boost during these types of runs. Why does the boost go up to approx 1.36 bar in 4th but not in 3rd or 5th - I could see prehaps the boost is lower in 5th due to IAT?, but why does the ecu not allow 1.36 in 3rd? I assume the rpms are similar. or rather why does it allow 1.36 in 4th?

Engine load and Motronic dialing in more boost.. The ECU will allow for more "boost" if knock and temps are in check. You won't see the engine load in 1 thru 3rd..

Ruf told me 1.1 bar. They say the Ruf catalytics, turbos and cams are needed to effectively flow the extra air to get the claimed 490 HP.
Here's something from June 1995 European Car magazine when the 993TT first came out:
...Boost maxes out at 0.90 Bar for a few moments under full throttle and then scales back to 0.85 Bar for prolonged runs. (A Porsche Exclusive computer chip, so far intended only for European customers, increases the "max" boost to 0.88 Bar and the power output to 430 bhp. It may become available in North America.)...

I always thought the R Turbo was the best kit that has ever been put in the market for the 993TT, I am seriously considering it for my stock and very bored 993TT.

Bill, thanks. This looks like a bulletrpoof reliable 490HP setup yet managed to get close to a 9s flat on stock weight.

I knew someone in the UK who had a Ruf engine but unfortunately he's sold the car. It would have been interesting to log the 80-120 kph numbers in 3rd through 6th and the boost curves.

But it's not 490 bhp though, is it? The Ruf power curve in their brochure/price list has been artificially flattened at 490 bhp; judging by the shape before and after the reshape it's more like 510 or 520. So is that purely from their cams or ???.

They came out between 495 and 510 absolute maximum, I saw 2 dynos at around 505. I also once saw one on a dynojet give 540 -to get any more than the 510 needed the bigger blowers.
I'll bet the high gear 80-120 is savage -maybe Bill S might assist ?

BTW the "artificial flattening" is probably a real representation of the engine dyno - they are trying to achieve the maximum power as early as possible and hold it there for as long as possible, this is where the cams (and other package compnenents) do their thing - this is also what RS aim for with their engine packages and can be the difference in why someones 500hp is dearer than anothers' (case in point - that Manthey power crve you once showed me)

80 to 120 kph? You mean try 50 to 74 mph in 6th gear?
