I have fun with many bike rides, I ride, and have had many sport bikes in the past and on a bike over 100 MPH it is all areodynamics, spelled the rider.
i agree, but the bike starts to lose its advantage at a higher speed then 100mph. i'd say around 150mph. for me, what jacket i wear seems to make a difference.

Managed to do another run, and after messing about for ages, got mine syncronised with one which Guy R sent me. Note the differences in weights and ambient. Guy's has an extra 200kg to haul It looks like mine will run out of gears long before the Ruf GT2.
The EVO 750hp run is interesting, lets get some other Big Claimed hp cars on here so we can see how much difference the hp makes to the acceleration - surely some owners who have paid the $$ must be interested how their motor compares ?

I will as soon as our roads clear the salt a bit. It is worthless at the moment trying to get traction.

tb993tt,

A few questions to help me use the same on my next run:

1. Between 60 and 130, are we seeing a 2nd to 3rd shift and then a 3rd to 4th shift?
2. With two shifts, is your 60 to 130 8.4 seconds?
3. Did you use an AX-22? Any special calibration?
4. How does this compare to the speedo videos I accurately measured for you using a video editing program? I seem to recall similar speedo times for 2 shifts somewhere much earlier in this thread.

Woodster.
rmrm has agreed to send me the AX22 when I am ready. I had a major setback with tuning last week. I had my ECU updated to work with the new injectors and MAF. The results were not good. Have you ever wished you just left things alone? I am in that same position now. The car was sooo strong before the ECU update. I am going to ask Todd if he can return it to the previous state of tune.

1)The first gear on the graph is 3rd for my car and 2nd for Guys 996GT2 - you can see I get into 6th, with the 5th to 6th change at a genuine 145mph at around 7000rpm. The max speed on the graph is 158mph in 6th.
2) It is 7.7s on this run with the 3rd gear start.
3) Yes AX22 , just make it as level and straight as possible - and it works staright out of the box. Set it in "continous speed" mode, push start when you are stationary and level then drive (at any speed) to your test area. Boot it whenever you are ready - the GPS ensures the speed is always accurate.
4) Funnily enough you are right, the speedo did show 7.7secs - that was with a test weight near 1700kg compared to 1450kg above - You will see just how far out the speedos are
BTW Merry Christmas to all

I think Jean kinda sorta got on or extrapolated one from mine a while back when I was at the drag strip... However I promise I'll get a real one. It's hard right now in the Bay Area and never stops raining. I have to drive about 50 miles out so I am nowhere near traffic etc... I want to get that number down too

Sharkster,

Once I get my hands on the AX22 we can use it to test your car as well. I agree there are very few places around here to do WOT runs. So far the richmond bridge has my best local top speed of 150.

Maybe we do use it at the drag strip in Sac.

Is it true at test and tune they now limit you to 3 passes?

Tom

Hi Tom,

rumors for the 997 turbo

0-100 km/h: 3.7 sec
0-160 km/h: < 8 sec
0-200 km/h: < 12 sec

not too bad for stock
