New to this 993 thread. Have 97' 2S Coupe, low miles (less than 50K), 6-spd manual. Lost file with specifics but have the clean title. Don't need to sell it, even in this environment, ......
Getting back to the 993, it is about a 8 out of 10 on both interior and exterior. It will not easily be made into concourse condition, but neither is it 'diamond in the rough'. Middle of the road $50K? (I know the market used to higher).

An asking price of less than $70k would likely make your '97 C2S with less than 50k miles the lowest-priced such car in the country. Or you could put it on BaT and sell it for market, which might make you pleasantly surprised.
Here are 2 pic's and the codes for those who know them. I believe the color is artic silver with gray interior. No records or paperwork (file lost) but have the clean title. The car has had 2 other owners. I have had the car 10 years and put 6.000 miles on it since I bought it. Current mileage is 43,155. It has an after market 5000 W stereo/CD. No problems, mechanical or otherwise except some small nicks and scrapes. From the pricing input I have gotten on the thread it looks likes somewhere north of $75K might be a good number.
^. Good thing you spoke with the Rennlist crowd. You could have lost around $25k+ if you just listed locally for $50k. Good thing you did some quick homework.
Lovely car but where things are at today in regards to value is hard to see.

Get rid of the tint and put it on Bring A Trailer with a reasonable reserve price or no reserve at all and you'll see where the market is today.
Still getting strong prices for nice cars on BAT.
$75k for a 43.5k odo car is low, assuming clean history and title, thick binder of maintenance records and passes PPI.
2 owner is a plus.
Is that a C2S or C4S? The former is worth slightly more, everything else equals.
Looks like car is lowered. PSS10...?

Yea I'd say the two look close. Mine is a 2CS. One curious thing I came across was when I was going to swap for a white 2CS and the owner remarked that I had white gauges versus the standard which I can't remember what color. Anyway when looking at the gauges I noticed it did not have the Carrera S logo on the instruments (mainly speedo?). One of those codes must explain that, or if no code an aftermarket?
Thanks very much for the input everybody has given me on this. May just be a keeper to enjoy driving (in the proper way a Porsche should be driven .

With the alu-look / white dials option (X71) there is no Carrera S script on the dials. My silver C2S has this option, here is a pic
@ Junior Tractor: Don’t be afraid to ask $85K+ for your car then settle for a responsible offer. I have 4.5 times your mileage plus, however, binders of records, window sticker and OEM sports seats and anyone pretending to offer me $50K will be met with a dial tone..

Told you $75k is low, way to low. If this one is a fair to good deal (which I honestly believe so), then yours a steal. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1188315
Also told you our cars are close. Mine is also a C2S also with roughly the same mileage.
