Description:
1996 C4S, Glistening Polar Silver (silver blue) with black leather. 63,811 one-family owner miles. (Father passed to son), until sold to me. 6-speed manual, rear wiper, original Becker CD220, fresh Sumis (under 200 miles), complete books, tools, nice maintenance records, clean CarFax .
This 993 has been exceptionally well-maintained and is stock as they come. Just completed over $9k of freshening and service work to ensure long term reliability, including:
- Oil, filters
- Brakes, rotors, pads, fluid flush, lines
- New steering rack, mounts.
- Complete AC service including control panel rebuild, auxillary fan, resistors, now blows ice cold.
- New distributor caps, rotors, all 12 plugs, and fresh OEM plug leads.
- Drive belts
- Tie rods, 4 wheel alignment
- Leak down test completed, performed cold: 1) 4% 2)4% 3)4% 4)5% 5) 4% 6)4% '
Paintwork is exceptional. Zero records or evidence of paint work other than bumper respray. Has some chips as expected for age, but car has been seriously babied, garaged, and used sparingly. Recently detailed using full array of Griot's products.
I am reluctantly offering the car for sale, but am in need of a more modern 'driver' car and frankly this car is too special to be assigned that duty. This is an excellent car, with wonderful history in enthusiastically maintained condition. Ready for new owner to cherish and enjoy as the market returns.
Compare this to others at $85-$90k, but in this highly adjusted world will sell for first $76k. May trade toward 997.2 'S' or preferably GTS with PDK. I'm not desperate, so please no low ballers. Just make a rational offer and I'm happy to discuss.

Hi - would you consider a 13 991 4S trade?

Thanks for your interest. That's not really on my list, however, I'm a sucker for different colors and unique options! You can try to PM me with details (but I see you've just got one post, so not sure if that precludes PM ability?)
Thanks also to the other inquiries, I believe I've responded to all the PMs thus far.

I have a 2011 997.2 C4S 6MT, black/black with adaptive sport seats and other options. 46k miles.
If interested, we can exchange phone #’s and discuss.
Regardless, stay well and thanks.

Anyway, sounds like a gorgeous car and some people would have nothing other than black black. Plus sport seats are an absolute favorite. Love the spec.

Thanks for your interest, but I’ve had to swear off black cars. My last few caused an OCD flare up and I started seeing pollen where none existed.

Though I've had numerous nice inquiries, offers to trade on some fun hardware, plus two solid cash offers (one at full price), I've decided to trade the car with a fellow RL member.
Just in case people are wondering if anyone is still buying anything in this Covid adjusted world, the answer is 'yes'. Plus I feel the 993 was attractively priced, and was a very good car which puled out some good prospects including:
Why did I trade instead of cash out? Well, my garage would have an empty space and that's just wrong. Plus, the tax liability of outright sale and outright purchase means I get to pay sales tax on the entire 'new' purchase, whereas a trade is only on the difference between the two. In this case: minimal. So that was a bonus and possibly worth considering for those of you in a situation where this'd be attractive. Just a thought.
So, hoping the above helps you set the market for buying or selling, for whatever purpose it may serve.

- Three offers involving 996s. Two were turbos, one a C4s. They were all black or silver, nothing wrong with that at all, other than not my particular preference.
- Two offers involving 997s. One was a red C4S, very nice, super low miles, priced accordingly (though irreplaceable at miles and options) and the other a somewhat base model black car.
- One offer involving a 997GT3 car. Above.
- One offer for a 991 GT3. It was just too new and too costly for me. I was looking at even swap or trade plus cash my way.
- One offer of a 997twin turbo. It was a 2010 (a .2 mode of course) with the first year offered PDK, 18-way sport seats, sport chrono, natural gray leather in, Atlas Gray (actually more blue) outside. Zero paintwork, clean carfax, crazy detailed service history, fresh plugs/coil packs.
- Two cash offers as mentioned (though only based on my description of car; neither went to PPI stage because of car above was in process.)
- Plus two absurdly low offers and a couple PMs half implying I needed to sell the car to eat so they'd do me a favor and 'might' be interested if I acted right. Ok.
