This is awesome, knew I had a 3D printer for a reason . Thanks for sharing this with us.

I’m ordering parts right now, any reason not to buy the brake line from Pegasus? It’s part number 3-36-S-90.

Hey Jordan
Make sure you post when you've done it!
Re: 36" braided line - you can order from wherever - I had the 36" line + kit on order from Summit - and then they pushed out delivery of the kit, so I cancelled that part of the order, but the 36" had been delivered.

Sweet, thanks, wanted to make sure there wasn’t something super special about the Summit version that I wasn’t seeing. Parts ordered!

Pegasus was great to deal with. Great brake line. They shipped quick.

Limey Boy/John- For those of us so unfortunate to not have a 3D printer, how'd you like to go into production of that slick bracket?

I'm not wanting to produce. That's why I uploaded it to thingiverse - you can email that to a 3d print company and it prob cost less and be faster for same or better quality. I've no experience doing that but I've seen others (here on RL) that have paid for printing.
Glad you like it, cheers

I will also say that if any RL member wishes to send my design from Thingiverse to a 3D printing company and has general 3D printing questions, I will always be happy to try and help - just PM me.
Cheers

Ok- no one has asked yet, but Limeyboy, did you paint the Varioram system? It looks polished and painted in your photo- earlier. cleanest I've ever seen.

Ha thanks, yeah I had the vram powder coated to match the fan. Wasnt planning on the vram but it had some discoloration and weird marks and after I'd finished trying to correct, I'd slipped down the slope.
Fan and vram = I sent for powder coat titanium gold
Fan shroud + timing covers = I painted Cerakote titanium glacier
Tin ware = I painted black enamel satin
Aluminum = I blasted with alu oxide then treated with a coat of Sharkhide. May clearcoat later.

After baking/painting, I totally stripped the vram down and zero issues were found. I then spent an inordinate amount of time cleaning all the part internals, after media blast. Ultrasonic would have been nice but I made do.

I'm still waiting for the rest of the parts but got back a print of LimeyBoy's awesome bracket from Xometry. This was printed in glass-filled nylon, tumbled, and dyed black. It's not smooth like a molded OEM part but looks pretty good I think. $45 to print, $14 shipping.

^ very nice! I’m curious to see if the bracket holds up to the twisting forces of loosening & tightening the bleed screw.
