Went in to Haas Entertainment (Culver City, CA) and had them update the audio system with the Porsche PCCM system. Love how clean the installation looks.
I replaced a voltage regulator from Posche dealer. It turned out to be a Bosch packaged in Porsche packaging!
I was getting 14.2-14.6 last several months but I suddenly started getting 11.6 and a intermittent "battery" light AND the ABS light with the engine running. After getting a new Bosch voltage regulator installed, I am getting 14.2ish. I also replaced all belts. The belts had about 60K miles on them.
The ABS and battery lights have gone away!
I drove around about 1 hr with my wife and everything is good.
This project was easier than I expected.
Some Mickey Mouse DIY but it solved a continuous problem I’ve had with this vent horizontal slats always collapsing, preventing the ideal position to blow air on me. It’s not pretty but works after a few days using it. I’ll trim it up and i think it’s a GO I’ve struggled to find a good solution for shade for the rear window. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the shade to stay up. See next pic for the final touch This was my masterpiece. A simple piece of pipe insulation to prop the umbrella type sun shade, which I bought on Amazon. Not pretty, but works and easy to use.
200 miles of country roads and twisty hwy for lunch at an iconic spot in CA. A great day in the 993...coolest part was that it all started by dropping my daughters of at school in the car.
