Thanks to rennlist member(?) Levi for the DIY video on YouTube, which makes the seals seat correctly once installed. Awesome

Freshly painted bumper

Testfit new seals & installing double sided tape (not yet trimmed)

Seals installed with tape and staples
Nice!
I'm thinking about installing a turbo s frontlip and repainting the bumper but I was wondering about the paint match to the hood and sides. Does it match well? I assume there was no blending?

Nice, that turbo s lip is sweet, I like it so id say just do it.

Regarding blending, id choose a painter that you trust and one that follows orders. Ive always heard that «good painters dont blend panels», meaning they hit spot on when color matching/testing.

Id recomend you take pictures in good light of all the connecting panels (hood and wings etc) or just bring the whole car for the preperation and planning phase.
Blending with the right ammount of orangepeel on the other panels is crucial if you want it not to stand out (you can always rubbing down the peel also).
When matching color id recomend you establish (1)paintcode, (2)how many stages and (3) what kind of paint (water, acrylic or other).
My car beeing black, it is not that difficult to match, yet I had to look in the manual to se what version of black paint I have, single stage or two stage. (I have originally L747 (1) meaning acrylic single stage, but as PO have later repainted my car with two stage water based, that is what my painter got of paint info. The results are so that even I cant tell if the bumpers been painted or not

All the details matter if you want the best results. If it dont matter that much, Id recomend to just grab the paintcode and let the painter do the rest.
Mounting is pretty straight forward and if your a bit handy, you can easily handle that yourself and save a few.

Good luck, it`ll be relly nice with that freshly new painted turbo s front bumper Let us know how it goes.

Well… took delivery of my 991.2 GT3 today and she jealously looked on as I did a proper detail…

Thanks! I've talked with the guys at the shop, I will bring them the car so they can match properly. They have done this before on a 993 and it looks good, so I'm fairly confident they will get it right.

Picked her up after a week at Elephant Racing getting sport-hardness bushings all around (also did the big ones on the read sub-frame), corner balanced and aligned. Wow, what a difference! Tight as a drum. Not inexpensive given the labor involved, but worth it for a car you intend to keep! Can't wait to get out on some driving roads this weekend.

I've got all of those same parts from Elephant sitting in the garage ready to be put on my car. Trying to build up the motivation and find a time when I don't want to go out and drive instead of mechanicing.

Drove it to work today, haha! Fridays are less crowded in general, so driving is a bit better in the Bay Area. 151k miles and counting. Not pristine clean, but oh well. I still can't stop looking at it even after 20yrs. Oh, those aren't big reds. Powder coated stock brakes red. Best "bling" mod I've ever done!

test fit 964 Cup 1 wheels 17x7 17x9 et55

Only drove a few feet so may need to settle some. New tires as well as these were just to protect when stored and shipped.

This actually looks great. Are you going with different tire sizes?

Just a wider front. 225 vs 205. I think the spacers will help fill the wheel wells a lot better.
