Nice!
In the words of Jerry Seinfeld..."when you get to heaven with the lowest mileage Porsche....you lose. Failure to enjoy is one the greatest sins of life"
I had never heard that from Jerry. But I like it and wholly agree!!!
Drove the 4S a little over 3 hours, to hopefully her “forever” shop. Cold called, initially asking if they were accepting new customers…an awkward silence followed.
“Well, depends on what you got…and what you need done”, it was Peter Dawe himself.
A lovely and genuine conversation then happened about what I wanted done.
“Well, we leave for Sebring the first week of February, if you can get the car here the second week in January…we should be able to get the work done before we leave”
Unseasonably warm and clear today…so away I go. Incredibly humble, and gracious man. The whole shop is 993 fans, they made me feel welcome, and comfortable.
Two years of chasing bad alignments from three theoretically experienced and qualified shops, from Maryland, to NY, to Connecticut. Hope I found the car a home. Helped that they had a 993 RUF R, and a 993 Cup Car there also.
Nice! What speakers did you go with? What other speakers did you consider?
Thanks, looked at Alpine, Pioneer, Focal and some local French stuff but in the end went for JBL Stage 3 6427 rear and JBL Stage 2 634 front after reading through various threads on Rennlist and 911.UK

I went with the front speakers Gert from Carnewal recommended - Musway MQ62 6.5" coax speakers. They require the opening in the fiber door card to be relieved by 3mm, a simple job with a Dremel. You can leave the door tweeters in place and connect them to the main speakers as they contain their own capacitor based crossover. Sound is excellent and dual tweeters per side work really well without the need to butcher the housings for replacements.

Thanks for sharing! Where these JBLs speakers bolt on or did you have to adapt them? Did you also replace the tweeters and if so, what did you choose? Thanks1
Straight swap, no tweeter change. Soldered the original tweeter wires into the front JBL’s. Only difference is the front JBL grilles are slightly bigger so just screwed into the door cards.

Have a link to the diy video? Those seals are on my list. Thanks!
Installed carbone RS cards today. I previously had vinyl tired looking RS clones from a previous owner. Great product. I went with full leather and a map pocket because I deleted the lower dash.
Ignore the hanging wire, new tweeters on order. Also double layered the doors with dynamat and refinished the upper door sills with leather from classic 9 on a French seam.
