Is this rope TSB something separate and distinct from the rust prevention processes using some form of caulk under the seal?

Thank you! I soaked them in hydrogen peroxide and left them out in the sunlight to de-yellow them - then used a meguiar's polishing compound to scrub both sides clean. Same treatment to the plastic clear "insert" that snaps into the inside of the headlight lens!

Definitely going to try this before installing Tore's HID/LED kit. Looks great.

I replaced the ballast resistor for the AC fan and cleaned the inside lenses on the headlights. The pictures above motivated me to clean them.

The headlights look great! Always so satisfying when a little bit if DIY elbow grease returns such great visible results.

For your ballast resistor for the AC, was that your condenser blower motor fan? The PPI on my car noted that the condensor blower motor isn't running, and its most likely a resistor. Is this DIY'able?

Yes, the condenser fan motor. I did it on my lift, which made it much easier than it would have been otherwise. It is still very possible to do without one. If you bypass the relay you can check the blower in both fast and slow speeds. Mine worked in fast speed before the repair, and both speeds afterwards. Here are the two DIY's that helped me out:

Had the new FD Motorsports short shift kit installed. Long story short -- it's awesome. I had the older style short shift kit with RS lever previously. The difference with the new shifter is dramatic. Shifts are tight and nicely short. It's a cliche, but it has a rifle action feel. Very positive, rock solid shifts. Absolutely zero play in this thing. I also have the golden rod installed. Honestly, it's about as good as my old s2000. Compared to the original shifter, the difference is night and day.

Today I attended the monthly Cars & Coffee event at the Porsche dealership in Santa Clarita, Ca.

They also have a small museum in the basement of the dealership. Very cool and some nice cars on display.
