"By the time we approach 50, and I am getting very close, we give up silly cars like the Porsche and move to more mundane vehicles. I sold my TT last year and replaced it with a low HP convertable for sunday drives." -- Radical Racer

Bought my first Porsche for my 43 birthday way back in November. I figured at this age I would only be able to buy one so it might as well be the correct one, right?
Before this I have been driving 7 different Audis since 1986, some heavily modified some not.
My dad got me hooked in sports cars as a very young 4 year old with a 63 vette, 67 vette, 71 911t, and then a 74 911 (silver, red leather). He then moved in BMWs. Get this, they were all company cars.
When I pulled up in front of his place the day I bought mine, the first thing he said (from 30 feet away) was "is it red leather?
I think I'll go out and give her a hug now.

I'm 34 now...bought the 993 a year ago. I bought my first Porsche, a 74 911S Targa, at 24. I too am surprised at how young many of us are. I just assumed I was one of the youngest ones here.

OK, my 44 seems to not be good enough. So, 951 at 28 (Guards Red), Euro 911 at 32, 3.6 Turbo at 37, 928 at 38, (Viper in between with a BMW 850 but I was just weak), 993TT at 44....

34 and feeling like 84 after a night like tonight (basketball). Grew up with German cars in a German Midwest family. It was tough growing up in Lansing with all the auto workers and unions..my dad and grandpa had to hide the cars!
Had my first P-car at 28 (97 boxster) and have had 4 since then. Drove behind a 993 S all the way to work this morning and am really missing my C4S! Sure I will get back into the 993 fold soon. For now it just my Club Sport.
