Just about all the lifts, including Rotary etc, are manufactured in China - the trick is not the posts and carriages, but the source of the cylinders and the pump. Most of those parts are also Chinese, but seem to work fine.

Anyways, its astounding on the amount of work that is going into this car (and the $$$). I am sure the car will be awesome at the end!

Cheers,

We were gonna put the engine in the car but found out I'm missing some special bolts for attaching the engine carrier to the block. Sucks but gotta order those tomorrow and hope to get them quickly.

So in the meantime we worked on the garage...pimp my garage style:

I was test fitting the BBS E88 and looks like I gotta sell them and order new wheels with correct specs. These were a great fit for the FVD flares but with the new body the wheels need to come out a lot.

The new specs will be:

Front 11x18" ET -5 tires 30/65/18
Rear 13x18" ET -55 tires 31/71/18

PM sent!

Here are rough specs (they are a couple mm off because I did not take into account the flange thickness on the wheel halve):

10.5x18 10.5" 266,7 mm
inner 8" 203,2 mm
outer 2.5" 63,5 mm
center 40 mm
offset 29,85 mm

13x18 13" 330,2 mm
inner 8" 203,2 mm
outer 5" 127 mm
center 45 mm
offset -6,9 mm

Installed the battery hold down, master switch and remote pull cables.
I thought I had ordered two cables but turns out I had only one. Need one for outside and one for inside cabin, as per the rules.
I also pondered if it would be necessary to be able to turn the power back on from the cabin. This would require installing the master switch in the cabin and running the power cable there.
But since I have the Motec PDM, I can shut on and off the power from the cabin in any case.
I also ordered the battery today, Odyssey 680.

Got electricity?
Missing from picture are the Deutsche Autosport connectors for the firewalls and raychem 55 wiring for the engine harness.

Love the TE37s on the 997 in the back! Also, pretty jealous of the custom harness. I've just spent the last 4 months between business trips stripping down the stock harness... Never. Again.

Since all my wheels need to be replaced in any case, I decided to bite the bullet and ordered all the parts needed for centerlock conversion....yikes!

I was told of this project and wanted to take a look and see what I could do better on my project!

Do you have the part number for GT2 Evo heads?
Also what cylinders/pistons are you running? I can't seem to find it even with the search tool for this thread!
