Looking great!
Do you have any plans to change the rear fenders to light weight stuff also ?
And your front splitter is facing upwards a lot ? Then there is more air under the car ?

The front splitter angle has not been adjusted yet, it is just slapped on by screws.
We need to make a correct size adjustment piece in between the bumper and the splitter.

The factory cars, including ones that were further developed, had steel rear fenders (minus the flares of course). There was some argument that this helped a bit in terms of torsional stiffness by linking the B & C pillars together.

Drifting
I would take a page from the Kelly Moss book. When they built their RSR's in the mid-'90's, they replaced the back seat section with a carbon fiber panel. The chassis was seem welded and the cage took care of any rigidity issues, so it merely served as a weight saving feature. And it looks very cool.

Looks neat though and saves a bit of weight.
Meanwhile the outfitting work is progressing.
Fitting the dash. The instrument dial holes will be covered with a cf sheet as well as the lower dash.
Door locks and handles fitted:
On a side note, and between all this carbon fibre and Kevlar, the rehab work on the driver is going well too...I've lost 16lbs in about 7 weeks so far.

Racing mirrors and fire suppression system:
CF dash backing plate:
I ended up using the GT3 CUP car lid securing system on the engine lid.. All the aftermarket ones were too low quality IMHO.

It's been a busy week with work and all but we managed to mount the 2-post lift. It's chinese but it works! Makes it 100x easier to work on the car...
The catch with the lift install was drilling the holes into the floor slab; there is submerged water pipes for heating in the floor. We used an infrared temp gauge to mark the location of the pipes (turned up the heat momentarily). Then we just drilled around them and crossed our fingers at every hole...
The engine and gearbox is about to go in...just drop the chassis down on them and tighten those 4 bolts.
