The door jambs are ready. We are not going to install "Nascar" style bars so it will be much easier to climb in and out of the car and I think this already is very safe.

Almost there... a couple of more bars to put in still.
Someone asked about the weight of the cage. The builder estimated that the amount of steel he is putting in is about 50-55kg. Compare this to the 43kg weight of the bolted in Heigo cage I was going to put in first.
The wall thickness of the tubing is much lower in this cage as we are using high tensile chromoly (CrMO) steel. It requires special attention to the welding procedure and in order to get the cage certified the welder must be certified as well.

The cage and chassis is done!
I visited the shop last night and there were only the main hoop cross and the A-pillar tie-in plates missing. Today Juho called me and said it's all done.
I will most likely pick it up end of next week and then we start fitting all the parts that have not been on the car (i.e. that require welding on brackets etc.).
After that I will dismantle it once more and have the chassis shot blasted and painted in white.
It will be a loooooong and fun winter!

At what point does this go from putting a roll-cage inside of a car, to putting a car around a roll-cage?
Amazing work! I hope you get lots of enjoyment out of the car once it is done. I also hope that you never have to test out that roll-cage because it is a work of art!

For the reference, the chassis/cage work was abt. 200 hours. A bit more than the Heigo cage I was going to put in there first, but on the other hand it is a proper race car tub now with full certification.
CF/Kevlar bits as requested:

All glass will be replaced with polycarbonate, except for windshield which is just thinner glass and with electric heating:
Front fenders are already fibreglass, the flares are carbon/kevlar, front bumper is gf.
carbon sandwich underbody (flat bottom as per FIA GT1), this will be on the same height as the side valances, which are about 70mm lower than the bottom of the chassis. The rear piece has a diffusor, gotta take a picture of the whole bottom panelling:
