Also some progress with the car.

I removed the AC compressor and lines. I had to fabricate a support of the intercooler bracket as it used to sit on top of the compressor.

I also painted the Porsche logos on the calibers.

Then I finally got the longer studs for the wheel spacers, now the wheels sit they are supposed to sit.

And the body guy has also started prep for paint work. It means all body work is completed and we are moving into the painting phase...

Tonight I installed the oil lines for the secondary cooler and fired up the car for the first time since I drove it in into the shop in March.
I had lengthened one of the oil hoses so I let the car idle until it warmed up so the oil was circulating to the coolers.
No leaks but without any fans, the oil temp was all the time in the mid area.
I did rev the engine a couple of times but now I wonder if I should install a fan on the drivers side, just to be sure I don't heat soak the engine while sitting in a traffic light.
I know I don't need the fan on the track as that is what a cool down lap is for but for street driving it might be necessary!? Any input on that guys?

Bodywork? Slowly getting there, should have primer coat by end of this week.

Regarding the fan on drivers side, do you mean inside of the engine compartment?
I doubt you'd be sitting in traffic that much...

If for the extra cooler, I doubt you need it since you already have on the passenger side. If you don't have a switch to turn on the fan manually, do install that one.

Juha, have you had time to decide about the sunroof delete? And could you tell us a little more about the extra cooling for the heavy traffic, you know the installation process? The project's looking great buddy!

I actually decided to leave the sunroof for now. Next winter i will replace the entire roof along with fitting in a full cage.

A little clarification; i don't have any fans in the front at the moment. There is not enough room on the passengers side but i could propably fit ne on the drivers side.

Got it. Yeah, I'd sey you should add a fan since you drive on street.
Get one of those really slim fans and just wire a manual switch.
