1998 C2S w/ 15k miles on Ebay

Hi as the owner of the 1998 C2S I thought I would post some information about my car. The car was originally bought with my brother on 2/21/98 from Champion Porsche in Pompano FL. We ordered the options we wanted at the time for a Classic looking Porsche. I have all of the ordering papers and sale documents. The car was produced in 12/97 making it one of the very last True 911's produced ever. The car has spent most of its time in FL but for the last 4 years has been in CA. Last year we decided to sell the car and had a buyer ready to send the $ however, I did not want to part with the car since it was my first new Porsche. I then became sole owner. The buyer reluctantly understood. The car is pristine inside, outside, underside, the tires were replaced in 2003-2004. Major service at 10,370 miles including distributor belt and cylinder head gasket. It is due for fluid service in Aug. If you have any questions please let me know.

Econ 101: With the supply of sub-15K C2S cars so low, just a little bit of demand drives the price way up. This isn't your "normal" 993 transaction. At the end of the day, the buyer is betting that he's making an "investment" (and positioning it that way for his wife...uh oh) North of $60K, don't plan on actually driving this one, BTW.

If this sells for $65K, driving a 15K mile car into a 35K mile car is a $20K (approx.) indulgence that I can't afford personally. Kudos to a buyer who can.
Seems like a beautiful car. Sincere best of luck to seller and buyer.

What was our new car warranty; 24months 24k miles? I'd want to know who/where R&R'd the motor at 10k miles and when/year.
I too would question the seller's head gasket R&R recollection; maybe a valve cover? Records of this R&R of the engine? If it was outside of the new car warrantycoverage, its at a cost you don't soon forget....
Seller: we're just having fun at your expense. GLWS.
PS. Is the 991 so different a 911? For the moment it is, eh? Strike time to sell the ole 993.....
