993 RS Steering Wheel Installed - wiring photos

The 964 column will likely not work due to the substantial difference between the dash and columns. One could always purchase and try. If it doesn't fit, return it? Very little transfers between air and water cooled cars besides some of the rims/wheel combos.

Thanks for reply. I've found though that a lot of the parts on the 996/986 platform do have 993/964 parts, the std 4 spoke steering wheel is 993, a lot of the hand brake mechanism is 964. The clock switch, airbag plugs etc are the same as 993 etc. Just wondered if anyone knew before I brought one , took my car apart to find it didn't fit. To see if it's better with a Momo wheel or fitting a 964 part is a backwards step.
thanks.
thanks.

Just working to compile my parts to do a non-airbag conversion. Couple of Qs on the resistor, what’s the difference between 1/2W and 1/4W and which do I want/need?
struggling to find 2.8ohms looks like some use 3 ohms what’s the right guidance here and any suggested sources?

Answering my own question now that my install is done, Used a .5 W 3 ohm resistor and had no problem.

so I was trying to order the connector pin for pin 71 in order to get a horn to work with my new Momo wheel, but Pelican says that they have no place to source the 999-652-639-22-OEM
Any idea what an equivalent, non-Porsche part would be from a company like Mouser?

Just leave off the OEM suffix on the part number. Looks to still be readily available.

I'd love it if you had an extra one. Of the two places I ordered from, both canceled the order due to the unavailability of the item and no ETA.

I'm always shocked at how a thread like this pops up right when I need it! I literally open the box from Gert with my steering wheel, a horn thingy and a capacitor. I only knew what one of those things was for until reading this!
