those look like the right ends - they would normally connect to the clock spring.
Solder the resistor to the orange connector.
Solder the horn connector wire pin to the red connector, which eventually the L shaped horn connector plugs into when its pushed through the wire stalk.

Finally got to install my RS steering wheel. Had to wait an extra 8 weeks to get the CF work done but love it so far! FYI, the install wasn't really that bad if you have the extra plugs from a spare clock spring (I bought mine on ebay off a boxster)
Looks sweet! Do you have an offset adapter mounted? I got the Jwest eccentric adapter so i could see the dials more clearly but from the picture you posted, either its there or the RS wheel mounts slightly higher.

I did not have a adaptor but I did notice the hub curved up slightly. I can definitely see the guages better than the OEM wheel
well, I'm finally getting around to changing my steering wheel to a Momo Prototipo and ordered most everything (except the 964 shrouds-I'll see if I can tolerate the gap). However, I'm at a loss for the clockspring connectors to fool the airbag. I don't want to start cutting the originals off, but also don't want to pay $100 for a used clockspring on ebay for a couple of connectors. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I bought a broken clockspring off ebay for $40 just for the connectors, you may find a broken one cheaper if you call around salvage yards. As for the 964 shrouds, it comes down to how much your time is worth and whether you want to go back to redo the project if the gap is not acceptable. They aren't that expensive as I recall.
a big shout out to Rob at DC Auto (www.dcauto.com). sent me a broken 986 clockspring and now I have the connectors to complete the job . Waiting for the horn connection part from Pelican, and the shroud pieces are on the way. Over on the 964 forums, someone put the resistor directly into the connector instead of wiring inline. Looked like an interesting solution.
finally finished installing the Momo Prototipo and have a few thoughts: first off, those resistors and wires are really tiny (any idea the size of these wires? 20gauge?). Soldering is not my thing, and the insulation on the wires got burned (which may be the reason for having no horn). To fool the airbag, I installed the resistor (thanks 71-3.0-911) directly into the plug (shout out to the 964 forum) and wrapped it up (seems to work). The dials are quite visible (except the oil temp half of the gauge), but I may clock the speedo a little as the 80mph and up is obscured. Looking forward to the drive once I figure the horn out (do I really need a horn in Florida? ). pre-wrapped airbag resistor. waiting for the 964 shroud: 1/2 in US, other half in Germany.
....and no horn reminds me of a story: we were racing at Summit Point in WV in a monsoon (Sports car racers race in rain). We were gridded with Spec Racers (I drove an S2). As I was lapping the field (we had a pretty good speed differential) I came on a Spec Racer going through a river crossing the track. As I approached at speed, I instinctively went to hit my horn realizing, it's racecar stoop, there's no horn! I fogged my visor laughing.
as an FYI, the contact can rotate on the pin to provide a little cant to the right...I wasn't getting any horn and started rotating the switch/stalk housing and noticed I could get the contact to rotate a little; enough to get a horn while sitting in the garage. Fingers crossed for the drive.

Hello, you seem to have figured out a way to avoid cutting the OEM adaptor from the clockspring. Did you just plug the resistor?
I am getting ready to install a prototipo on my 993. My goal is not to compromise/cut/splice any OEM components as much as possible. Do I have to procure a clockspring from ebay or does this rigged resistor into the current adaptor do the job for the airbag? It seems like prototippo and RS wheels have slight differences in their installation.
Sorry if this is already discussed and I missed it in the long tread.
