Katie's Mon. 8/6 update
Just received:
Hello Everyone;
There hasn't been any improvement in Chuck's condition over the weekend. He had several partial complex seizures yesterday, his vitals are still strong, but are deteriorating. He's being moved out of the hospital today and into a hospice facility closer to our house. We just want to keep him comfortable and get him out of the da--hospital. Doctors don't think it will be long. Days, maybe a few weeks. Very sad.

Thanks for the update, Bill. News like this is always tough to read, more so when the person is a solid citizen as Chuck has proven over the years.

I’ve never met Chuck in person; wish I had, mate, just too far away. But within these pages over the years it seems you were always just around the corner, blipping on the pedal for all to hear. May the moon remain above you wings.

I participate in a Mens Bible Study each Monday evening. In my prayer requests to our group last night I requested our group keep Chuck in their prayers as well.

"We are now at the Methodist Hospice Residence 6416 Quince Road, Memphis. He is resting much more comfortably and his lungs are clearer. Everything is IV except some soft foods. Liquids were going into his lungs and filling them up. Sadly, the doctors don't think he has much more than a week but this can be unpredictable and he is the Comeback Kid."
My sister was in this stage in June 2005. It was heart-breaking then, it is heart-breaking now.
Daily prayers and best wishes to Chuck and his family.

One more tidbit from Chuck's family:
"This is a neat bit of info. Just found that the beds in the hospice are made by Porsche! Think we need to see how fast we can get this thing rolling."
I need to find out where to buy one one of these Porsche beds. Wonder if this one is it?
