Update from Katie, not good.
Hello Everyone.
Wanted to advise that Chuck had another seizure Wednesday which took over three hours to get under control. The doctors label it "a significant event" and it's a definite downward spiral from here. We have decided to not continue with curative care and move forward with palliative/hospice. He's in a lot of pain and his left side is compromised so we're trying to just keep him comfortable.

I am so very sad right now. Chuck has been such a fighter for a long time. He fought this last brain episode for a lot longer than most folks would have faced with the same situation. I remember when he first emailed me (I think it was about this same time last year) to let me know that it was now in his brain and he was going to go at it will all had. All I could think of was my father in law and how it was for him when his cancer spread to his brain. It was tough. Very tough. Chuck is amazing, for them to have made the decision for hospice .....

Wow. Very sad news.
I've had some great email exchanges with Chuck over the last 6 months or so & I had hoped that his stubborn determination was paying off.
