As some of you may already know, Chuck had surgery this past Friday. The doctors removed a mass from behind his right ear. They are awaiting the pathology report, but the surgeon thought the mass was a combination of new tumor growth, scar tissue and necrotic tissue caused by the radiation therapy. I am told that the operation went well, and the surgeon was upbeat afterward.
Chuck is recovering at the hospital, and expects to go home tomorrow or the next day. He's in good spirits, but is still in a lot of pain.

Thanks Grant!. I got released today. Suppposed to get out yesterday but administrative errors kept me in the the hospital an extra night. Sorry that tales of my bull**** health stuff takes up so much space here. But all the support and notes sure help me keep my sprits in the zone. What a great group of people are on here. These two surgeries have really hit me hard in the memory department. I may have to change my screen name to Abby NOrmal (YOung Frankenstein). I owe some of you some notes and I"m tring to work thru the list.

Glad you are on the mend. Now, no more hospital for you for a while, OK?

Great news Chuck. Praying for a full recovery and hope you continue to improve.
As for the "error" that kept you there an extra day, refuse to pay for that extra night as it was their "mistake." Let us know what happens : )
