Two weeks of updates on one day.
With Marc away last week I organised Richard and Jack to bleed the hydraulic brake and clutch systems, then Richard filled the oil system, fitted wheels and generally get the engine ready to run for Marc's return.

Spoilt for choice for the next job to do.
The boot spoiler mechanism of a 993 is a pain to put together from scratch, in this case not helped by a damaged mechanism on the second hand S engine lid. It will require shimming and more adjustment later, but for now at least all the parts are in approximately the right places and the electrics work.
Grilles look good in white, but we'd also like to see them in satin black which would pick up a match to the Techart wheel centres.

Then came the rear bumper. Lots of detail here including fitting the turbo/S specific annodised alloy trims around the exhaust cutouts, new heat shielding etc.
Neil looks suitably unimpressed.

Finally Marc turned his attention to the dash and interior. Centre console under carpet, airbag, dash trim, A-post trim in leather, switches, the detail goes on. Assembly came to a halt last night trying to get the all the heater servo motors working correctly, but nearly there now.

But your idea is really interesting and it would work really well on a coupe....

I dunno...the white grill is superb and being black I feel would take away from the overall look of the car. Keep it white and then decide afterwards once the car is completed.
Project is damn cool though!

Rudy-- You recently started a separate thread you titled, "MY FIRST SPEEDSTER" - hmmm.
...where these words are 'hot off the press:'
JPP, can you chime in to help another RLer spend his money?

Just buy the cab a return boat ticket, we do the rest. It's as easy as that.
