Do you have these vents in your rear spoiler?

No my kit doesn't look like that! I have the standard turbo front bumper with no add-on spoiler, Ib skirts (the pictured link is a wide body so different animal), and yes I do have the genuine Porsche turbo S tail with the vents. So Calvin - what came on the aerokit 2?

Anyway you could post a photo of the car and a photo of the option sticker under the hood?

Aero kit 1 and 2 was Techarts nominclature which was used on NB cars. (also the source for the silver gauges)

The wide body aero was Porsches design.

Sticker isn't under hood and sorry but I'm getting the car repainted currently. I know exactly what is on the car because I have taken off all the pieces and matched the part numbers with my Porsche parts guy.

The jury is still out on this one. Neil Perry has documentation that supports a 'special build' in the US and Japan with my setup on NB cars. It appears that Porsche had an Aerokit 2 for both the NB and WB cars.

This may have been the original wing on your car.
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/techart...ure354306.html

NB aero 1 wing has a 1 piece grill, unlike the one in the photo NB aero II or vise versa, which I have seen both come from the factory as options.
One has a 3rd brake light the other doesn’t, one is slightly larger. The Techart aero II wing is very rare but looks very close to the other.

Start a thread when she comes out of paint, sounds nice!

EDIT: im wondering if the Japanese cars where part of Techarts Aero kit II program which is not the same wing as the turbo S often referred to as wide body aero II.
I have also heard Aero II as a complete package of aero I which includes side skirts aero 1B.. Never have a seen or heard of the use of the turbo wing I or wing II used on a NB car. May be a rare set up, with the "turbo S" wing on a NB.. sure would like to see one and option code if it is true.

Slang became "turbo S" wing to help the confusion of aero kit II

As I said;

There isnt actually an Aero Kit II listed, there are Aero Kit 1, Aero Kit 1B, Aero Kit turbo and Aero Kit Turbo II

The areo kit turbo is for narrow body cars, this has the turbo front bumper and rear spoiler in it. No other kit has a bumper in it.

I think the confusion in this thread is what was installed on the production line during the build process versus what was installed at the dealer.

86 posts and no consensus. This has the feel of an oil thread.

But you said the aero kits were factory installed options!.....

"The factory did indeed install aero kits."
