Wow, nasty accident. I hope the driver is OK.
I am a 993 owner living in Hong Kong, but sadly my 993 is in the UK. Currently with the engine in bits. I am going to put it back together (I hope) when I return for 10 days at the end of October.
I would love to meet up with some 993 owners here. I do pretty much everything on my car and so know the 993's reasonably well.

A zenith blue 1997 993 has just been total yesterday on Pokfulam Road. Looks like a Turbo...

That is a great pic. When is the next meet? I see quite a few 993's in HK which is great. Not so many 964's though.
Actually I thought that bringing my 993 to HK might be very expensive, but it seems not. I thought the 1st registration tax was on the list price, but in fact it is on the purchace price, which cvan be discounted at 25%pa. I have owned the car for 2 years and it was not expensive as it has done 185K miles and when I bought it needed a lot of work (most of which I have done).
I will be SO happy if I can get it out here.

Guess what, it's the same one been selling in Tsuen Wan for years. Seller bought it in Aug at low $600K and now a quick flip for $788K. He did put back the correct wheels, steering wheel, CD deck, & exhaust. Unfortunaely it is a RWD and not a 4WD. 5 hands with 51,000km.
