Paul: you can have a listen of my Fabspeed exhaust by the end of next week. I am also considering tonhv the HID upgraded for my 993. There is a shop in TKW doing this and hv good reputation. You might talk to them for this. May be we can exchanged more info when we hv chance to meet up. Look forward to see you all soon.

Paul, mine has a Fister Stage III exhaust. It's quite noisey when first installed and even many experts told me it's too loud. But guess what I told them...... you are just too old.

Look forward to meet you all

It's a fairly simple DIY if you are comfortable with small electrical projects - ie radio installation, hardwire radar detector, etc. Only tools that may be required are a dremel, rattail file, shrink tube, and a crimping tool or soldering iron. Quite a few DIY instructions on Rennlist, but I would install the ones with the smaller ballasts that can fit in the headlight housings - this is what I did with my old 94 while cab. There are a few sellers on eBay that are based in Hong Kong...I just pinged one of them and went to their shop in Mongkok to pick up the kit.

Same as what David said. DIYable.
H1 globe - and choose how bright you want. Pick one with a small ballast that can fit into the light housing otherwise you will need to drill.
I went very bright with 8000 lumens. I got a beamboy kit from one of the car shops across from the soccer/basketball court in the mong kok car accessories area. Just shop around to get a good price. If you can't speak canto - get a local to go with you. You might find that the hole for the globe is just a little small so the new globe won't fit - so might need to file a little out. Might as well get the HID globes for the parking lights as well - to get a matching look.

Just want to keep this thread alive. Perhaps we can meet up on one of the Sunday morning in July ? West Kowloon's Waterfront or Clear Water Bay will be good for it.

For the HID, all I did was just install the PIAA bulb from Mongkok. I do have a spare set of brand new HID conversion kit, but need to cut it bigger so that it can fit to the light housing. if anyone is interested, pm me.

BTW, David, your 94 white Cab looks gorgeous.

Ok for july (except 10th). But clearwater bay just a bit too far for me HK islander. Perhaps Kowloon Tong Festival Walk as a a mid-point for HK islanders and kowlooner/NT?

I am also OK on any Sunday except the 10th. West Kowloon waterfront should be perfect as there is a big parking lot.

West Kowloon waterfront sounds good. Do you have details of where the parking lot is? Or any other suggestions?

Which Sunday should we meet? 17, 24, or 31?

Unfortunately it's my ex-cab...sold it about a year ago and now it resides somewhere in Happy Valley.

I owned that car for 10 years...longer than most relationships

Just follow the small road and you will see the parking lot at the end. If you can't find the direction, use the google map. We can meet at there first and drive to different area.

I am OK on either date.

What a pity. There's just not too many factory white 993 in Hong Kong. May I know for the past 10 years, where did you take it for service ?

Originally Jebsens for the first few years but they are pricey; Road&Track serviced it thereafter and they now look after my Turbo.
