I must have been under a rock......this thread has so much going for it. RS, 9meister, complete build, hell there's even a 993 Speedster thrown in just in case we get bored.
Colin, can you finance such a project over say 30 years? I'm off to work out the shipping details.

30 years? No problem, just do what I did to buy my first 911:
Visit bank, arrange equity release & spend it all, bar £500.

Whilst 9m is taking a short break from Speedster production the good news is that we are cracking on with the next 9m93RS Clubsport.
A few people questioned how we blank the drain holes in the floor in the 9m11RS build, so the other day when I passed Owen gluing the blanks in place I stopped to take a photo. The blanks are removed from the shell before we send it for E-coating before the original sealer on them was stripped, etched and primed. Owen has refixed them in place with PU adhesive and then raided my lathe materials box to hold them down with brass & bronze billets whist the glue cures.

The next job before final primer & painting was to fit the front wings which we do by first fitting a (old but straight) bonnet & the doors to ensure the fit is as good as possible. Once everything is aligned and straight, we remove the bonnet & knock the pins out of the door hinges to remove the doors. This leaves the body side of the hinge fitted to the A-post to achieve the factory fiinish of fully painted hinges and bolts.

Final job before the past primer coat is to block sand the outer panels and key all the other primered surfaces with scothbrite. Big job so all three lads are on the case to speed things up.
With a bit of luck the primer will be sorted by this time tomorrow and soon after we will be preparing it for colour.

Unfair!! You can go off people you know, so lay off our Vespas!
The one on the left is my new GTS250, the one on the right is Marc's GT125 (which is probably going to get a 200 engine).
As for the sheeted up 993, that's for another time on a "need to know" basis.

Seam sealing with polyurethane adhesive followed by an overlay of waterbase brushable seam sealer provides the ultimate protection for the vulnerable panel joints inside and outside. This is probably one of the most important tasks in preparing the shell if it is intended to last more than a couple of years before rust takes an interest. The brushable seam sealer is water based & is easy to apply because it goes on pale and dries dark when set.

Next comes the spray sealer on the floorpan which is the equivalent of the factory underseal. Shooting the last coats of primer will now be the last part of the process before colour painting.
With the shell now on the rotisserie we're planning to prime and paint the underside first, then unload it onto a trolley to paint the topside. Can't wait.
